Hams Hall `A’ Station closure was announced in 1975 by which time the output had been reduced to 150 MW. (excluding the GT)
The Cooling Towers and Chimneys were demolished in 1978 followed by the Boiler House.
The Turbine Hall containing the 15 MW Olympus GT remained until after the generator had been decommissioned in 1980.
