To celebrate the opening of Hams Hall A Power station, a concert was held on 6th November 1929. The main guests were the Duke & Duchess of York, accompanied by the Lord Mayor of Birmingham. The approach road was lined by ex-naval employees of the City of Birmingham Electric Supply Department as well as representatives of the British Legion.
