Staythorpe ‘B’ was a very successful station. It was reliable and efficient, could do the load, was flexible and had good stack emissions after the precips were upgraded. It had three 120MW AEI Reheat Turbines which were in effect the same as Castle Donnington’s Turbines with an added IP Cylinder. These were supplied with steam from three Foster Wheeler front wall fired PF Boilers each having four Duplex Attrition Mills.
