Staythorpe `B’ Boilers were a conventional front wall fired, single furnace reheat units supplying steam to the Turbine at 110 bar 568 deg C. Each boiler had 4 Duplex attrition Mills. The reheat outlet steam was 27 bar & 540 deg C. Superheater steam outlet temp was controlled by an interstage desuperheater spray and reheat temperature was controlled by dampers and a Reheat inlet desuperheater spray. The boiler control was a Bailey pneumatic system.
